El proceso de duelo ante la enfermedad en pacientes con cáncer desde una mirada gestáltica / The process of duel about the disease in patients with cancer from a Gestalt theory

RESUMEN

El presente trabajo es un estudio realizado para el título de Magister en Teoría y Praxis de la Gestalt de la Escuela de Psicoterapia Gestalt de Santiago y la Universidad Mayor. Este estudio busca describir y analizar los sentimientos que surgen durante el proceso de duelo de un paciente con cáncer y el rol que cumple la familia en dicho proceso, mediante un análisis fenomenológico-experiencial de un caso real. Se utiliza un marco teórico sustentable en las ideas de autores como Kübler Ross, Schnake y Fonnegra. Se abordarán específicamente el duelo, la muerte y la expresión de sentimientos, para describir la vivencia de una persona con cáncer y su familia, a partir de entrevistas con el paciente y sesiones terapéuticas. Además, se lleva a la práctica el Enfoque Holístico de la Salud de Adriana Schnake y se trabaja con el órgano enfermo. Los resultados obtenidos no buscan generalizar los hechos, sino que comprender el fenómeno tal como se presenta en un caso real y desde ahí generar nuevas investigaciones que contribuyan al tratamiento psicológico de estos pacientes, desde que conocen la enfermedad, tanto en Salud Pública como en el ámbito privado.

ABSTRACT

This paper is a study for an MA in Theory and Praxis by the Gestalt Psychotherapy from the Gestalt School of Santiago and the University Mayor. This study aims to describe and analyze the feelings that arise during the mourning process of a patient with cancer and the role of the family in this process, through an experiential-phenomenological analysis in a real case study using interviews with patients and therapy sessions. It uses a sustainable theoretical framework based on the ideas of authors such as Kübler Ross, Schnake and Fonnegra. Furthermore, it implements a holistic approach to both, healing of Adriana Schnake and working with the affected organ. The results did not seek to generalize the facts, but to understand the phenomenon as it occurs in a real case and then generate new research that will contribute to the psychological treatment of patients who are aware of the disease, both in the Public and Private Health Sectors.
