Reducción y osteosíntesis de una fractura-luxación de tobillo / Open Reduction and Internal Fixation of a Fracture-dislocation of the Ankle

RESUMEN

La reducción y osteosíntesis de la fractura-luxación del tobillo con láminas, tornillos y alambres de Kirschner constituye un método de tratamiento bien definido. El presente trabajo muestra el tratamiento de una fractura –luxación del tobillo derecho en una paciente de 33 años de edad estabilizada mediante el empleo de una lámina de un tercio de caña, tornillos y alambres de Kirschner con alambres en banda de tensión. Los resultados fueron satisfactorios.

ABSTRACT

Open reduction and internal fixation of the fracture-dislocation of the ankle with plates, screws and Kirschner wires is a well-defined treatment method. This paper presents the management of a fracture-dislocation of the right ankle in a 33-year-old female patient stabilized by using a one-third tubular plate, screws, Kirschner wires with tension-band wires. Results were satisfactory.
