A pesquisa procura responder às questões 1. Quais são os perfis que caracterizam os Centros Interativos de Ciências Brasileiros criados nas décadas de 1970 a 2000 e a que instituições estão associados? 2.Quais são as diretrizes políticas que orientam a criação e organização dos CICT? 3. Quais as influências dessas diretrizes nas disputas por definições e abordagens de exposições e, portanto, no campo da educação/cultura em ciência e saúde? A hipótese levantada pelo estudo é a de que os CICT são instituições que, além de terem características e objetivos diferenciados dos Museus de Ciência e Tecnologia tradicionais, tem seu surgimento marcado por uma conjuntura sócio-política e econômica específica, a do neoliberalismo, adquirindo, mais tarde, os atributos das políticas da chamada Terceira Via a inclusão social, paz social, valorização das diversidades...

ABSTRACT

This research aims to answer the following questions 1. What are the characteristics ofthe Brazilian Interactive Science Centers created between decades of 1970s to 2000s, and with whichinstitutions are they associated? 2. What are the public policy guidelines for the creation andorganization of these ISTCs? 3. In which ways these guidelines influence disputes over definitions andapproaches to exhibits, consequently over education/culture in science and health?
