Remodelação estética em dentes anteriores: relato de caso clínico / Esthetic restoration in anterior teeth: clinical case report

RESUMO

O restabelecimento da harmonia estética dos dentes anteriores tem sido grande desafio para a odontologia restauradora. Este trabalho tem como objetivo relatar um caso clínico para reabilitar a função e a estética do sorriso. Foi realizado clareamento dentário das arcadas superior e inferior, associando-se as técnicas de consultório e caseira com peróxido de hidrogênio. Finalizado o tratamento clareador, executou-se remodelação dos dentes anteriores superiores com ameloplastia e posterior restauração em resina composta micro-híbrida, pela técnica incremental, com auxílio de barreira em silicone. Com essa proposta clínica, foi possível restabelecer a função mastigatória e também obter melhora acentuada na estética do sorriso, proporcionando ao paciente bem-estar e melhor convívio social.

ABSTRACT

Reestablishing the esthetic harmony of the anterior teeth has been a great challenge for restorative dentistry. The aim of this work is to report a clinical case of the rehabilitation of the function and esthetics of the smile. Tooth bleaching of both arches using a hydrogen peroxide based gel was performed by the association of in office and home bleaching techniques. After the bleaching therapy, it was performed recontouring of enamel of the maxillary anterior teeth, and restoration using microhybrid composite resin by incremental technique with the aid of a PVS matrix. Following this proposed protocol, it was possible to reestablish the masticatory function and to achieve the improvement of the esthetics offering comfort and life quality to the patient as well.
