El tratamiento no quirúrgico continúa siendo efectivo para tratar la gran mayoría de los pacientes que presentan dolor y disfunción temporomandibulares. En este artículo se presenta una visión general actualizada de la conducta a seguir con los desórdenes de la articulación temporomandibular.

ABSTRACT

Management of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) has been one of the most difficult problems odontologists have faced. There are various types of therapy; most of them have been effective in controlling symptoms, at least, at short - term. Non- surgical treatment continues being efficient for the medical care of the great majority of patients who presented pain and temporomandibular dysfunction. In this study, we present a current general vision of the behavior to follow with these disorders of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ).
