ABSTRACT

Objective:Ouraimistoshowthepossibility ofusingdifferentimageprocessingtechniquesfor bloodsmearanaly-sis.Alsoouraimistodeterminethesequenceofimageprocessing techniquesto identifymegaloblastic anemiacells. Methods:Weconsiderbloodsmearimage.Weuseavariety ofimageprocessingtechniquesto identify meg-aloblasticanemiacells.Amongthesemethods,wedistinguishthemodificationofthe color spaceand the useof wavelets. Results:Wedevelopedasequenceofimageprocessing techniquesforbloodsmearimageanalysis andmegaloblasticanemiacellsidentification.Asacharacteristicfeature formegaloblasticanemia cellsidentification,we considerneutrophilimagestructure.We alsouse the morphologicalmethods of imageanalysisin order to re-veal thenuclear lobes inneutrophilstructure. Conclusion:Wecanidentify themegaloblasticanemiacells.Todothis,weusethefollowing sequenceofbloodsmearimageprocessingcolor imagemodification,changeof theim-age contrast, useof wavelets and morphologicalanalysisof thecellstructure.
