Red gene is an essential material for telling the story of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Under the background of the new era, red education in colleges and universities of TCM has ushered in a new opportunity for development. Adhering to the red education concept, organically integrating the spirit of red medicine into the ideological and political courses of medical students; expanding the content of red education, using TCM culture to build the benchmark of curriculum ideological and political education; innovating red education methods, promoting the deep integration of new media and ideological and political teaching, to advance the high-quality development of red education, guide students to establish correct values, and help the new development of TCM.
