ABSTRACT
Favre-Racouchot syndrome is a slowly progressive skin disease, which is characterised by grouped comedones occurring on solar damaged skin of elderly individuals. We describe a case of Favre- Racouchot syndrome in a 69-year-old man. He had multiple black comedones and yellowish nodules on both cheeks, with deep wrinkles and cutis rhomboidalis nuchae on the posterior of the neck. The excisional specimen, including comedones, revealed solar elastosis and dilated follicular cysts filled with keratinous material in the dermis. A biopsy specimen from a yellowish nodule showed a cystic structure with a corrugated luminal surface which was filled with keratinous material. Another biopsy specimen from protruding nodule showed the features of squamous cell carcinoma.
