Side effects of interferon αin treatment of chronic hepatitis B and its clinical significance study / 中国生化药物杂志

ABSTRACT
Objective To investigate the side effects of interferonαin treatment of chronic hepatitis B,and the analysis of its clinical significance. Methods 164 cases of patients with chronic hepatitis B were selected as research objects,who received medical treatment in Hospital of Jilin Agricultural University from December 2010 to December 2011.Clinical data of these patients was retrospectively analyzed.Adefovir dipivoxil was applied to 78 patients(group A),and peginterferon-α(PEG)was used in 86 patients(group B).Then efficacy and side effects of two interferon drug were observed.Results The HBsAg and HBV DNA negative rates of patients in group B was 4.65% and 59.30%,respectively.The negative rates of group A were 2.56% and 43.03%.HBV DNA negative rate of both groups had a significant difference by statistics(P<0.05 ),and improving effect of liver function of group B was also better than group A.After receiving IFN-αtreatment,patients of both groups all appeared side effects,including fever, leukopenia,neutropenia,depression and insomnia.The side effects incidence of both groups didn't show significant difference.Conclusion IFN-αis an effective antiviral drugs for chronic hepatitis B.long-acting interferon has a better efficacy,but this drug also lead to side effect easily.Therefore,it is essential to strengthen the relevant prevention and care in the clinical treatment.
