Alternariol monomethyl ether(AME) extracted from alternaria alternata isolated from the grain in Linxian county, China. It was used to treat the cultured epithelium which was obtained from 22 patients with esophageal cancer. Vitamin E was also used to inhibit the effect of AME on the epithelium.
