ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) levels in the serum of patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI),and also to explore the relationship between VEGF and creatine kinase (CK) levels in AMI.Methods 25 patients with AMI and 12 controls were used for this study. Serum was isolated from peripheral blood on day 1, 5, 10 and15 after the onset of AMI.
