ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the role and significance of the expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor-C(VEGF-C) and its receptors Flt-4 in metastasis of papillary thyroid carcinoma(PTC).Methods The expression levels of VEGF-C and Flt-4 were detected in 87 cases of PTC with SABC immunohistochemical method.Results Among 87 cases of PTC,the positive rates of VEGF-C and Flt-4 were 89.66%(78/87) and 81.61%(71/87),respectively.There was positive correlation between the expression of VEGF-C and Flt-4.The expression of VEGF-C in lymph node metastasis group was significantly higher than that of no lymph node metastasis group(P
