ABSTRACT
The fluidity of membrane lipid regions of intact human erythrocyte in diabetic patients and healthy subjects was determined by means of fluorescense polarization technique using 1,6-dipheny1-1, 3, 5- hexatriene (DPH) as fluorescence probe. The results showed that the fluidity of membrane lipid regions of intact erythrocyte in diabetic patients was lower than that in healthy subjects. The fluorescence polarization and microviscosity of diabetic patients (n= 15) were 0.259 + 0.001 and 2.568 +0.019 respectively; while that of healthy subjects (n = 15) were 0.246 + 0.002 and 2.304 + 0.042 respectively (P
