The Effects of Shock Waves in Water on Rabbit's Chest and Abdomen / 中华创伤杂志

ABSTRACT

The model was established by shock waves in water caused by a projectile hitting the water. It was found that the injuries were correlated with peak pressure value. It also showed that the damage to the lungs was easier than to the stomach and intestine. If the similar injuries occured, the pressure value on parenckymal orgaus must be 2-3 times higher than on nonparenckymal ones.
