ABSTRACT
Objective\ The posterior communicating arteries (PCoA) are the most variable in the cerebral arterial circle of Willis. The figure of Chinese in Taiwan is required to be filled up in the category of Chinese stream. Methods\ In this study, the outer diameter of the PCoA was measured through an imaging computing system with enlargement up to twenty times for the collected fifty formalined adult human brains of Chinese in Taiwan. Results\ The external diameter of the internal carotid end of the PCoA averaged 1^72?0^77( ?s )(0^7 4 3) mm in the left and 1^69?0 78(0^8 3^3) mm in the right; 1^59?0^58(0^8\|3^0) mm in the left side of the posterior cerebral end and 1^59?0^68(0^5\|3 2) mm in the right side of it. Conclusion\ These data display close to the white people values and are wider than that of Mainland Chinese. It is due to virtue in the usage of measurement.\;[
