ABSTRACT
Nodular fasciitis is a benign proliferation of myofibroblasts and is the most common tumorlike lesion of fibrous tissue. The lesion may easily be misinterpreted as sarcoma, clinically and histologically. The lesion usually presents as a rapidly growing subcutaneous tumor, most commonly located in the extremities and trunks in young adults. The head and neck region, however, is the most common site in infants and children, but rare in adults. We experienced one rare case of intraparotid nodular fasciitis which was treated with superficial parotidectomy. We report this case with a review of literature.
