ABSTRACT
Currently, the pathogenesis of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) remains unclear, while the theory of "two hits"is insufficient to explain the pathogenesis of NASH in all cases.More and more attention has been paid to the relationship between the change in gut microbio - ta and the development and progression of NASH in recent years .The energy metabolism disorder, lipopolysaccharide endotoxemia, increased endogenous ethanol production, bile acid metabolism disorder, altered choline metabolism, and immune dysfunction caused by gut microbiota are related to NASH.This article reviews the role of gut microbiota in the development and progression of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis .
