Literature review of ectopic GH-secreting pituitary adenomas / 中华内分泌外科杂志

ABSTRACT

To analyze relative literatures about ectopic GH-secreting pituitary adenomas,its embryology,anatomic distribution,clinical and imaging features,diagnosis,treatment and prognosis.Ectopic GH-secreting pituitary adenomas is a rare disease.Its pathogenesis originates from defects of embryonic migration of pituitary.The most common position is in sphenoid sinus.Clinical features include placeholder effects of tumor,effects of growth hormone secretion,and intracranial pressure symptoms,et al.Treatments include surgical treatment,radiation therapy and drug therapy.
