ABSTRACT
Objective To investigate the antibiotic resistance of gram-negative bacteria in PICU, to provide relevant background information for the prevention and treatment of nosocomial infection. Methods The basic clinical data of all children admitted to our hospital from January 2013 to December 2016 were col-lected,and the gram-negative bacteria isolated from PICU were retrospectively analyzed. Results A total of 757 strains of pathogenic bacteria were isolated in PICU during the past 4 years, including 509 strains of gram-negative bacteria, accounting for 67. 2% of the total pathogens. The first five strains of gram-negative bacteria were Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter baumannii, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia,Klebsiella pneumonia and Escherichia coli. Positive specimens were mainly from lower respiratory tract and bloodstream infection. The antibiotic resistance analysis showed that gram-negative bacteria was generally resistance to ampicillin, ceftriaxone and cefazolin. Compared with other strains, Acinetobacter baumannii had higher resistance rate to common antibiotics, and the isolation rate of multi-drug resistant strains was more than 50%. Stenotrophomonas maltophilia was still sensitive to ceftazidime, levofloxacin and sulfamethoxazole. A total of 97 strains of multidrug-resistant gram-negative bacteria were isolated. Conclusion The majority of nosocomial infections in PICU were gram-negative bacteria, most of which came from lower respiratory tract infection, and the top five were Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Bauman Acinetobacter, Stenotrophomonasmaltophil-ia, Klebsiellapneumoniae and Escherichia coli. The emergence of multi-drug resistant bacteria and extensively drug-resistant bacteria indicates that the situation of drug resistance of gram negative bacteria is still grim.
