Attach importance to the neurodevelopmental disabilities-etiology and clinical research / 中国医师杂志

ABSTRACT

Neurodevelopmental disabilities (NDDs) are multifaceted conditions characterized by impairments in cognition,motor skills,behavior and communication,resulting from abnormal brain development.Global developmental disabilities/intellectual disabilities (GDD/ID),epilepsy (EP),Austim Spectrum Disorders (ASD)and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) fall under the umbrella of NDDs.Several NDDs have clusters of symptoms overlap indicating they shared common molecular pathways.Therefore,regarding EP,ID,ASD and ADHD as a continuous variable of multiple dimensions in molecular and cellular dysfunction during neurodevelopment may be of great significance in elucidating the pathogenesis of NDDs.Strengthening international and domestic multi-center cooperation,carrying out graded and stratified intervention,realizing the treatment gateway forward will fundamentally changing the way of diagnosis and treatment.
