ABSTRACT
The essay was written to discuss the basic theory, concept and research content of Traditional Chinese Regenerative Medicine (TCRM) and analyze the formation and future development of TCRM subject. Based on series theoretic and experimental research of stem cell and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), we put forward new concept and connotation of TCRM and analyzed the development of this new subject. TCRM is the study of Traditional Chinese Medicine regulating stem cell to accelerate tissue and organ regeneration, prevent and treat related disease and delay ageing. TCRM, based on the theory of stem cell and essence, using the technique of TCM, is to activate the inner potential ability of body, which can change the microenvironment of stem cell, activate inner silence stem cell to proliferate, migrate and differentiate, or combine with stem cell transplantation and tissue engineering with increasing efficiency, to achieve the aim of prevention and treatment of disease and anti-aging by accelerate self-renewing, selfrepairing and functional rebuilding. The core connotation of TCRM is regulating stem cell by TCM. Therefore, targeting on stem cell, the research content of regenerative medicine can be researched, explained and deeply excavated on the base of theory and practice of TCM. Our research pointed out research content and development direction of TCRM in the future and built up a good basis for TCRM advancement.
