ABSTRACT

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a common respiratory disease.Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a common complication of COPD,but COPD complicated with severe PAH is rare.Moreover,clinicians have a serious lack of attention to it.This review is based on the definition and epidemiological characteristics,pathogenesis,screening,diagnosis and treatment,in order to provide effective theoretical support for early clinical identification and treatment of COPD complicated with severe pulmonary hypertension.
