ABSTRACT
Vitamin D (VitD) and VitD receptors are closely related to human skeleton, muscle, fat and other tissues. The cachexia of the tumor is characterized by progressive loss of weight, mainly due to the decrease in the mass of skeletal and adipose tissue. There is no consensus on the role of VitD in the treatment of cachexia. This article reviews the role of VitD in cancer cachexia.
