ABSTRACT

The Coronavirus epidemic has wreaked havoc on countries all over the world. People from all over the Globe have flocked to social network to voice their thoughts and feelings about the situation that has reached epidemic proportions. The need of this paper is to exemplify how social media users feel about COVID-19 in an extremely brief span of time, Twitter saw an unusual surge in tweets on the new Coronavirus. This study presents a global Sentiment Analysis of tweets related to COVID-19, as well as how people's sentiment in multiple nations has varied. The research study focuses on a period of time from march 2020 to april 2020. In the Sentiment Analysis, we fed dataset to different algorithms and estimate the best performance among them. As in secondly we also found the reliability on BERT model. Comparatively, BERT gave foremost accuracy amidst all. Besides, the accuracy of mentioned algorithms are well represented. © 2021 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

Because of their vast variety of applications, ferrite materials have gained a lot of attention, including catalysts in organic transformations, adsorption, electronic devices, photocatalytic degradations, and gas sensing. This review focuses on zinc ferrites production strategies and their numerous applications. The purpose of this research was to illustrate the advantages and disadvantages of each option of commonly used preparation procedures such as hydrothermal, co-precipitation, solvothermal, micro-emulsion, microwave-assisted, and solid state. This review also focuses on the many characterization techniques used to study the structural, optical, electric, magnetic and dielectric properties of zinc ferrites. This review also discussed their applications in a variety of disciplines, including waste water treatment, photocatalysis, sensors, organic transformation catalysts, LIBs, biomedical devices, and microwave devices.

ABSTRACT

In India the COVID-19 infected population has not yet been accurately established. As always in the early stages of any epidemic, the need to test serious cases first has meant that the population with asymptomatic or mild sub-clinical symptoms has not yet been analyzed. Using counts of fatalities, and previously estimated parameters for the progress of the disease, we give statistical estimates of the infected population. The doubling time is a crucial unknown input parameter which affects these estimates, and may differ strongly from one geographical location to another. We suggest a method for estimating epidemiological parameters for COVID-19 in different locations within a few days, so adding to the information required for gauging the success of public health interventions

ABSTRACT

Purpose: Presently, Indian sectors are manifesting a higher level of interdependency and making the economy more vulnerable to human-caused and natural disasters. COVID-19 pandemic creates a devastating effect on the world economy. The Indian economy was expected to lose around ₹ 32,000 crores every day during the first 21 days of complete lockdown. This motivates to conduct the research on how the COVID-19 pandemic affects the port logistics sector and how the effects of COVID-19 on port logistics propagate to other sectors owing to its interconnectedness and affect the economy of the country. Design/methodology/approach: The purpose of the study is analyze how perturbation in one sector can affect the system of interdependent sectors and it is done with interdependency analysis. It uses Wassily Leontief’s inoperability input-output model (IIM) and interval programming (IP) to develop a framework. IP is used to address situations where assumptions are not valid because of uncertainties associated with disruptive events. Findings: The model helps in describing how the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic in port logistics can propagate owing to the interconnectedness across other sectors. The model uses the latest five-year data available on the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development database. It uses metrics like inoperability and economic loss to study the consequences of COVID-19 pandemic on various sectors. This study also presents the ranking of the affected sectors based on their inoperability and economic loss Research limitations/implications: In the future study, other techniques like dynamic evolution, multiplex network analysis, analytical hierarchy process, pinch analysis, stochastic evolution and pinch graph could be integrated with input-output (I-O) modelling. Integrated stochastic evolution with an I-O model allows capturing the likelihood of the events;it includes probability distributions instead of point estimates for scenario parameters. Methods like dynamic evolution and multiplex network analysis can be introduced in future work to shed lights on interdependency among the sector, which could potentially provide additional insights for transport policy formulations. Originality/value: This study discusses the theory, methodology and application of the IIM-IP model in the domain of port logistics. The developed IIM-IP model helps decision-makers to manage risk in port logistics. Firstly, it studies how different sectors are interconnected with each other. Secondly, it helps in identifying the most vulnerable sectors based on economic loss and inoperability. Thirdly, it provides the ranking of the sectors based on their economic losses. © 2021, Emerald Publishing Limited.

ABSTRACT

This study examines the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the performance of Indian stock market, measured by daily average returns and trading volume. The analysis is aimed at discovering the vulnerability of the general market as well as nine crucial sectors to the pandemic while also checking the impact on overall volatility in the market. The findings suggest that all the sectors followed a consistent pattern of being significantly impacted by the pandemic. However, the benchmark index remained resilient in the context of average returns. The entire market witnessed decreased returns and increased liquidity, which is explained by reduced volatility in the market. © 2021 Priti Dubey, Rishika Shankar.

ABSTRACT

Most of the countries in the world are facing the problem of disease caused by Novel coronavirus (covid-19) with symptoms of higher grade flu like symptoms or with no symptom. The infection spreads through contact with the person suffering/suffered from coronavirus symptoms like sneezing, high fever, cough and ultimately blockade of respiratory system. Sometimes symptoms of diarrhea and dysentery were also detected at advanced stage of the disease. Till now any effective medicine or vaccine could not be developed for its prevention and getting relief. Only trial and error by applying some antimalarial drugs chloroquine hydroxide along with some other antiviral infections is used and up to 38% are being recovered in India as well as other countries. Under such circumstances strengthening immune system becomes only option for preventing from this viral disease and our traditional medicines are playing vital role for immunity strengthening. Accordingly, some herbs either singly or in combination form have been suggested as preventive measure for coronavirus through this communication.
