ABSTRACT

Introduction: Online healthcare platform (OHP) is a new form of medical treatment that solves the problems of an unbalanced distribution of medical resources in China. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, OHP has greatly reduced the medical pressure of the hospital and the risk of cross-infection. Methods: Based on self-determination theory (SDT) (Ryan and Deci, 2000), privacy calculus theory (PCT) (Culnan, 1999) and perceived value theory (PVT) (Choi, 2004), this study uses evolutionary game theory to analyze behavioral strategies and their dynamic evolution in the promotion of OHP. Moreover, we conduct numerical simulations with the help of program compilation. Results: The results demonstrate that (1) both the qualification inspection of doctors and the investment in information protection influence doctors' participation in and patients' usage of OHP;(2) both the initial probabilities of doctor participation and patient usage influence the multi-game results;(3) the trend of doctors joining OHP is affected by registration cost, time cost, and reputation loss;and (4) the trend of patients using online healthcare is mainly decided by the cost. Conclusion: This study takes the Spring Rain Doctor as an example to verify the game results. To further popularize online medical treatment among patients, the platform should attach importance to the inspection of doctors and the protection of privacy information and strengthen its publicity in remote places.

ABSTRACT

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has swept the whole world and brought about a public health crisis of unprecedented proportions. To combat the rapid transmission and possible deaths due to the disease, researchers and companies around the world are developing all possible strategies. Due to the advantages of safety, specificity, and fewer adverse effects, polypeptide and peptidomimetic drugs are considered promising strategies. This review comprehensively summarizes and discusses the progress in development of peptide drugs for use in the treatment of COVID-19. Based on the latest results in this field, we divided them into clinically approved drugs, clinical trial drugs, and clinically ineffective drugs, and outlined the molecular targets and mechanisms of action one by one to reveal their feasibility as promising therapeutic agents for COVID-19. Notably, monoclonal antibodies have shown beneficial effects in the early stages of infection, while Paxlovid can significantly reduce hospitalization and mortality among non-vaccinated patients. Among clinical experimental drugs, both the interleukin-1 receptor antagonist anakinra and the bradykinin B2 receptor antagonist icatibant are well tolerated and effective in patients with COVID-19, but long-term trials are needed to confirm the durability of efficacy.

ABSTRACT

The transportation industry is closely related to the macroeconomic development. The transportation services index (TSI) can be used to measure the relationship between them. The freight services index in Henan Province (HNFSI) is proposed based on the TSI. The HNFSI index is used to analyze the correlation, the periodicity, and the impact of COVID-19 between the development of economic and transportation in Henan Province. The results show that the correlation coefficient between the HNFSI index and the Growth Rate of Industrial Added Value which represents trends in economic development, is 0.745. The freight transportation demand increases with a certain periodicity and regularity. Due to the influence of COVID-19, the HNFSI in January 2020 decreased by 37.7% compared to the same period of 2019, and decreased by 56.3% in February. However, after March 2020, the freight service is greatly improved. © ASCE.

ABSTRACT

Aiming at the prevention and control of multi-group epidemics, the dynamic model of disease transmission is established, and an optimal delay and isolation strategy is proposed. The control variables in the model represent the strength of various measures taken to block and isolate contact between groups. The optimal control problem is solved by Pontryagin maximum principle and the corresponding numerical iterative algorithm is given. The results show that the delay and isolation control strategy can effectively control the epidemic of infectious diseases while minimizing the cost of infectious diseases. The outbreak of the COVID-19 in 2020 is a serious threat to people's lives and health. It is because of the timely adoption of delay and isolation control strategy of "early detection and early isolation" and "joint-prevention and jointcontrol", China took the lead in the fight against the epidemic situation and made an example for the whole world. © 2020 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

Purpose-As of March 2020, this paper collected 41 prescriptions for Covid-19 in official reports, and used machine learning and knowledge graph technology to discover the rules of common prescription medication for Covid-19 and the Chinese medicinal herb groups applicable to different groups of people to help the TCM prescriptions for the clinical treatment of Covid-19. Methods-The FP-Growth algorithm was used to analyze the properties, tastes, and meridian tropism of Chinese medicinal herb groups in prescription data, constructing a knowledge graph for Covid-19 description and mining the prescription medication rules. Results-In the 41 pieces of prescription, patients in medical observation period were treated with Chinese medicinal herbs that can relieve exterior syndromes and stop vomiting, such as Radix Saposhnikoviae, Semen Sojae Preparatum, etc. Those with mild common syndromes were treated with heat-clearing and detoxicating Chinese medicinal herbs, such as Rhizoma Coptidis, Radix Scutellariae, etc. Infected patients were treated with Chinese medicinal herbs such as Radix Glycyrrhizae, Herba Asari, etc., which can dissolve phlegm, relieve cough and invigorate the spleen, relieve pain, expel wind syndromes, relieve exterior symptoms and help digesting. Conclusion-Combining machine learning and knowledge graph technology to analyze the data characteristics of common prescriptions used by different populations can help analyze the core medication mechanism of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) treatment of different populations with the same disease. © 2020 ACM.
