Instructional Leadership Behaviors of School Principals During the Covid 19 Pandemic Process

ABSTRACT
The purpose of current study is to determine solutions regarding problems that school principals experienced during the Covid 19 pandemic process as instructional leaders and to reveal their views on post-pandemic education. The study based on qualitative research design was conducted with fourteen school principals who work in different cities in Turkey. A semi-structured interview form was created in the light of the conceptual framework. Data were analysed by means of content analysis. According to the findings of the study, school principals used technological support to teachers, academic support to students, psychosocial support, and parent communication in solving the problems they encountered during the COVID 19 pandemic. Findings revealed that the school principals mainly focused on hybrid education model, teacher education and students’ skills regarding post-pandemic education. © 2020. All Rights Reserved.
