ABSTRACT
The COVID-19 pandemic threw health care logistics and clinical research processes into disarray. The authors transitioned to remote meetings, adjusted to ever-changing information, and untangled the ethical implications of supporting open studies while making room for an influx of new protocols that addressed the pressing public health emergency.
