A study to assess the effect of Lockdown on lifestyle and behavior of residents of Rewa District

ABSTRACT
Introduction- Lockdown was implemented for inhibiting and slow down the progression of disease. If cities continue to impose a lockdown to prevent COVID-19 transmission, there are few emergency preparedness plans to transport and provide shelter for these large number of people experiencing homelessness and are starving. The studies have shown that stress increases the risk of heart attacks and strokes. The stress hormones narrow the blood vessels, and make the blood stickier and thicker and increase the likelihood of blood clotting. Aim and Objective- To assess the effect of lockdown on lifestyle and behavior of residents of Rewa district.Materials and methods- In the present online survey conducted in Rewa city with a well-developed pretested questionnaire used to collect the information from a sample of 1000 people selected using stratified random sampling technique through Google application, Social media (Facebook and WhatsApp). Statistical software SPSS was used for analysis of data. Results-The data collected from 1000 respondents was analyzed and presented in Tables and Figures. In our study according to moderate DASS subscales 219 participants had depression. Conclusions- In the early stage COVID-19 pandemic in Rewa, the results showed that most of the general population had suffered from moderate to severe psychological impact.
