Job Satisfaction and Expectations of Pharmacy Employees During the COVID-19 Pandemic: An Application of DEMATEL Method

ABSTRACT

During the global epidemic, the work pressure of pharmacy employees have increased significantly, and these medical system workers have played a key role in the recovery of the epidemic. Front-line employees in the pharmaceutical retail industry have to contact sick customers every day. They must not only ensure accurate medicine services to patients, but also ensure their safe and effective use of medicines. This study used literature analysis, questionnaire surveys, and the Decision-making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method to analyze the key decision-making factors of job satisfaction, the correlation between those factors. The results show that salary and future development, workload and time occupation and pressure from supervisors are the main factors affecting the job satisfaction of pharmacy employees. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
