ABSTRACT
Based on the pandemic situation of the new Coronavirus, this paper aimed to analyze the implementation of a Drive-in cinema in Jurer.. Internacional (Florian..polis, SC), Brazil and its impacts on the tourism sector. To this end, conceptual categories were sought in Santos (2005, 2006 and 2013), studies on cinema, the economy of leisure and its overlap with urban development. Initially, the historical rescue of Drive-in was accomplished, since its genesis in the 1930s in the United States of America, during an economic crisis, arriving in Brazil in the 1970s, during the "Economic Miracle", and recently, to the capital of Santa Catarina due to the epidemiological collapse of 2020, as an alternative to the events sector. In addition to it, information was collected on newspapers, data related to the tourism sector and political measures at national, state and local levels. Jurer.. Internacional neighborhood is one of the locations on the island that most concentrates the high-income population, in addition to establishments with connections to other metropolises. It was concluded that in the current economic conjuncture of the sector, this neighborhood is one of the pioneers in seeking alternatives such as this Drive Park, in order to continue to attract the public of night events and entertainment.
