ABSTRACT
Introduction:
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Italian Obstetric Surveillance System (ItOSS) coordinated research activities to support health professionals and decision makers. The aim of this paper is to describe the results of the populationbased prospective study on SARS-CoV-2 infection among pregnant women during the first pandemic wave. Materials andmethods:
From the end of February 2020, ItOSS launched a prospective population-based cohort study enrolling all SARSCoV- 2 pregnant women admitted to any Italian hospital. Anamnestic and clinical information was collected in a structured form and entered in a web-based secure system by trained clinicians of any maternity unit.
