Article in English, Slovenian | Scopus | ID: covidwho-1717061
ABSTRACT
The article traces the dynamics of transformation and porosity of borders in the period of the initial Covid-19 lockdown from March to May 2020 in Croatia and Serbia, when the bordering processes, manifested in state-governed activities to enforce mobility control and societal exclusion, got prominence in public policy and discourse as the necessary means to prevent the spread of the virus. The aim of the article is to shed light on the ability of bordering processes to generate new social and political relations and physical realities. © 2021 Slovensko Etnolosko Drustvo.
