ABSTRACT
Investments, sustainability and technology are the main aspects pointed out by Smart Tourist Destinations [DTI] to become competitive. However, they do not take into account the hospitality bonds between individuals/groups in their spaces, nor do they address issues related to interpersonal relationships. Added to this scenario, the observation of hospitality by managers, public or private, has become even more affected by the need for social isolation due to the worldwide contamination of the Coronavirus. In this sense, the present work used as object of analysis the data related to the impact of the pandemic available on the municipality of S..o Paulo and aimed to verify through content analysis, as well as measures of social distance, regardless of its intensity, modified and, possibly will continue to modify, the perspective of how the characteristics of hospitality are manifested in the face of this new reality.
