The article discusses the possible response differences of men and women to psychological trauma. Topics covered include gender differences in posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) trauma, the general factors of characteristics and timing of the traumatic event, and the immediate and later biological and psychological reactions to it, and PTSD's neurobiological aspects. Also noted are the preferred treatments for PTSD.
