Pedagogical Shift in Education Sector: A Necessity in Light of COVID-19 Pandemic

ABSTRACT

The novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has collapsed the entire education system not only in India but across the globe. Its outbreak as a pandemic has brought sudden transformation in many sectors of the global community which has impacted everything including the education sector. The sudden transformation in the teaching pedagogy due to COVID-19 has resulted in some benefits, challenges, and inequalities. This paper attempts to draw a holistic picture of the best teaching practices in synchronous online spaces during pandemic conditions.
