Conclusion: The Prospects of Higher Education, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Greater Bay Area in China

ABSTRACT

This volume was conceived well before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis emerged in late 2019 and then gradually spread to different parts of the globe. When this volume was completed for publication, all authors of the volume have to go through the unprecedented global health crisis whilst writing the chapters. How far the COVID-19 has affected the inter-university and industry cooperation to promote innovation-centric entrepreneurship remains ongoing research. This concluding chapter sets out against the COVID-19 crisis context to critically reflect on the prospects of the Greater Bay Area development project. In addition, this chapter will draw the conclusion of the present volume and highlight some interesting future research agendas. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
