MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: MEAGAN GRAFF

ABSTRACT

Many of them shared stories about experiences they or their friends or family had with the health care system, and I was able to tie those stories back to one of the lab disciplines. The youth I interacted with were very keen to learn about laboratory science, and they could already draw parallels to concepts they had learned about in their science classes, such as different blood cell types, or the ABO blood group system. A moment that stands out is when one student told me a blood bank joke! I didn't know it was going to be a joke at fi st, but then caught on as the story unfolded.
