ABSTRACT
[...]the availability of safe and fun outdoor activities may vary depending on where families live, but finding a park to visit, a nature trail, a place to ride bikes, or even just playing tag outside can be a great way to enjoy the outdoors. [...]vaccinating and boosting all members of the family who are eligible provides an additional layer of protection against COVID-19 and can increase the sense of safety when engaging in activities of all kinds this summer. Pediatricians can play an important role in encouraging literacy by suggesting that caregivers spend time reading to their children and visiting the library can be an ideal way to jump start the process of engaging with the written word. [...]scheduling appointments early and anticipating any paperwork that might be needed is key in preparing for back-to-school season.
