ABSTRACT
Date Presented 04/01/2022 Our study evaluated how changes in school environment resulting from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) affected the occupations of sleep, play, and leisure in school-age children. We surveyed parents about their children's occupations at the onset of the 2020-2021 school year. Survey results showed that instruction type affected play and some leisure activities of children. The data indicate effects on occupational engagement related to changes in school environment, with potential long-term impacts on child development.
