ABSTRACT

Objectives:

In Shiga Prefecture, the third wave of a novel coronavirus infection (COVID-IQ) caused an imminent tightness of hospital beds. In this study, we constructed a mathematical model of infectious disease to conduct a sensitivity analysis and evaluated the effectiveness of policy interventions and medical systems management to avoid the shortage of hospital beds.
