ABSTRACT
Coronavirus infection (COVID-19), is now a worldwide pandemic. The researchers are trying to find more about this virus in term of diagnosis and management. Many researchers reported that the routine complete blood count is one of the main analysis to be perform for the patients as part of the confirmation test for the disease. Our aim is to find more about complete blood count (CBC) of patients infected with COVID-19 and to see whether the results would show any significant differences regarding age and gender. A group of 110 patients with a confirmed COVID-19 admitted to the Salah El- Deen Hospital in Tikrit City, Iraq. The cases were collected and analyzed from January to Decemper 2020. CBC analysis showed a significant differences in the levels of red blood cells (RBCs), hemoglobin (HGB), hematocrit (HCT), and C-reactive protein (CRP) based on gender, but no significant changes regarding age groups. more studies should be done in the future in this department. © 2022 American Institute of Physics Inc..
