CSR: analysing shifting paradigm from climate change to global health emergencies

ABSTRACT

The pandemic that has hit our economy hard has forced corporations to see the coronavirus crisis as an opportunity to rethink corporate social responsibility and its role and purpose in the corporate sector. With corporate social responsibility in place, corporations need to answer how they can give back to the stakeholders and society. The authors are trying to analyse whether corporate social responsibility in India can tackle pandemics and climate change. If not, has it just become a utopian ideology hijacked by the politicians?
