ABSTRACT
The radiological appearance of viral pneumonia may help in narrowing the differential diagnosis also for patterns including the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus (MERS) and the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Several studies published in the various phases of the current pandemic highlighted that computer tomography (CT) of the chest characterized by ground glass opacity (GGN) and/or consolidations in the same lobe, involvement of all lung lobes, seldom presence of nodules, effusion pleural, and lymphadenopathy are typical of such infections. CT represents a useful diagnostic test for both typical presentation patterns and infrequent forms, as evidenced by this clinical case. Copyright © 2022, AIPO Ricerche srl. All rights reserved.
