ABSTRACT

Introduction:

The business environment has changed from the pre-COVID era to the post-COVID pandemic era

Objectives:

This will demonstrate the changes that have occurred in business as a result of the COVID pandemic

Methods:

Data was collected by interviewing people in different types or lines of business

Results:

The Pre-COVID business environment focused more on business output, numbers required to achieve those goals, and employees as part of a cog in a wheel. Employees in different lines of business all stated a decrease in satisfaction and work life balance as compared to the post-COVID environment. When questions were asked to these same sample of employees across different business lines, there was a consistent response of a better work-life balance achieved, as well as increased flexibility, increased job satisfaction mostly all related to the employees being able to work from home. Conclusion(s) While the COVID pandemic caused some isolation and a drastic change in work models across all lines of industry, employees in general stated increased job satisfaction, better work-life balance than prior to the pandemic.Copyright © 2023 American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy
