ABSTRACT

The aim of the article was to discuss the potential adverse events and prioritizes the aspects of vaccine safety, as well as WHO response to the COVID-19 pandemic, COVID-19 vaccines in the pipeline and potential safety issues, pharmacovigilance preparedness for launch of a COVID-19 vaccine, planning for acceptance and uptake of COVID-19 vaccines, approach and a roadmap to COVID-19 vaccines benefit-risk communication, and the "infodemic" management as a pillar of the COVID-19 response.
