Findings obtained from content analysis revealed that, 40.9% of the teacher candidates consider themselves “competent”, 38.6% of them “need development” and 20.5% of them feel “incompetent”. Among the sub-domains of professional competences, the teacher candidates consider themselves competent in “attitudes and values” (68.2%), and feel less competent in “vocational domain knowledge” and “vocational skills” sub-domains. In addition, the Online Teaching Practice course affected the professional competencies of teacher candidates negatively. Lastly, teacher candidates mostly had positive thoughts about inauguration in the pandemic process after graduation and they believe that they can overcome difficulties, feel themselves competent, and have required motivation to adapt to the pandemic. © 2019,MÍllî EğÍtÍm.All rights reserved.
