An observational descriptive research was done in which epidemiological definitions, terms, surveillance and health surveillance were defined. The transition to non- transmissible illnesses was the one of highest incidence, new behaviors were observed in some transmissible illnesses already controlled such as the new epidemic of neuropathy in the country, and more recently Gillians syndrome.
