Young stem explants of Corylus avellana L. were used to initiate Callus from, after sterilization using 3% Sodium hypochlorite [NaOCl] for 15 min. Young stem explants were planted on MS medium, with the addition of different concentrations of Benzyl Adenine [BA] [0.5-5.0 mg/ ml] and the 2,4-Dichlorophenoxy acetic acid j[2,4-D] [0.1-1.0 mg/ ml], to demonstrate the optimum one in the initiation of callus, the study included also the effect of addition of Phenylalanine to MS medium on the formation of the secondary metabolite Taxol at different stages of callus growth. Therefore, the present study aims to extraction, identification and purification of the secondary metabolite Taxol from the callus of Corylus avellana L., using TLC, UV, FTIR and HPLC
