fibrilación auricular es la
arritmia más común en la
práctica clínica. La ablación se considera el
tratamiento de elección (indicación
clase I) en los
pacientes sintomáticos con recurrencias a
pesar del
tratamiento con fármacos antiarrítmicos. El presente artículo revisa tanto los mecanismos propuestos de esta
arritmia como las diferentes metodologías de ablación con
catéter y
sus indicaciones.
Summary
Atrial fibrillation is the most common
arrhythmia in clinical practice.
Catheter ablation is the
treatment of choice (Class I indication) for symptomatic
patients with
recurrences despite
antiarrhythmic drugs. The present article reviews the proposed mechanisms of this
arrhythmia and the different ablation
methods and indications.
