Analysis of p53, K-ras gene mutation & Helicobacter pylori infection in patients with gastric cancer & peptic ulcer disease at a tertiary care hospital in north India.
Overall p53 genemutation was found in 4.6 per cent of the study population, and its distribution in GC, PUD and NUD was 21, 4.4 and 0.4 per cent, respectively. p53 genemutation was significantly higher in patients with GC than PUD (P<0.05) and NUD (P<0.001). No difference in p53 genemutation was observed between H. pylori infected and non-infected individuals. K-ras genemutation was absent in all the patients. Interpretation &
